Okmetic headquarters and production site located in Finland focus on crystal growing and 150 to 200 mm silicon wafers. The large fab expansion focusing on 200 mm wafers will more than double Okmetic capacity 2025 onwards. Our manufacturing partners expand our product selection to 300 mm and epi wafers.
Okmetic Vantaa site in Finland focuses on crystal growing and production of 150 to 200 mm wafers silicon wafers for the MEMS, RF and Power device markets. The Vantaa site produces SSP, DSP and Bonded SOI wafers with and without cavities optimized for different device needs. Our decades long expertise in crystal growth, wafering, and Silicon-On-Insulators as well as in-house capabilities for lithographic patterning and deep reactive-ion etching guarantee the optimal platform for the manufacture of even the most advanced of devices. High quality and sustainability are an integral part of Okmetic production and operations.

Fab expansion adds 200 mm wafer capacity significantly
Okmetic fab expansion will more than double Okmetic capacity. The first wafers from the fab expansion were produced in June 2025, , and volume production started in the beginning of 2026.. The fab expansion focuses on 200 mm crystal growth as well as 200 mm SSP and DSP wafers. Okmetic also remains committed to ensuring 150 mm wafer availability well into the future.
Manufacturing partners complement in-house capabilities
Okmetic complements its in-house capabilities by working with qualified manufacturing partners for selected products, including EPI wafers and 300 mm wafers. By combining these partnerships with Okmetic’s strong expertise, we ensure consistent quality, reliable supply, and performance aligned with customer specifications. Okmetic maintains full ownership of supply chain and wafer quality.
